Christopher Maurice "Chris" Brown was born 5 May 1989. He is an American musician and actor. He made his recording debut in late 2005 with the self titled album Chris Brown at the age of 16 years. The album contained the hit single "Run It" which topped the Billboard Hot 100, making Brown the first male artist to have his debut single top card since Montell Jordan in 1995.
Brown learned to sing and dance at a young age often with reference to Michael Jackson as his inspiration. He began performing in his church choir and in several local talent contests. While simulating a Usher, acknowledged his mother vocal talent and they began to look for opportunities for a record deal.
Brown re-released Exclusive on June 3, 2008 as a deluxe edition, renamed Exclusive: The Forever Edition, seven months after the release of the original version. The re-released version contains four new tracks, including the single "Forever", which reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100.
